Tenerife is the most populous of the Spanish islands and also the largest of the seven Canary Islands.
It's also the most visited, It’s not hard to see why this island is so popular with tourists. Of course, it has the wonderful Mediterranean climate and spectacular beaches that the Spanish islands and mainland are famous for. But while these things are wonderful, Tenerife is far more than just another beach resort.
With more than five million people from around the world flocking to experience the island's unique charms every year. Two airports, Tenerife North and Tenerife South, provide them with access to the island.

In particular, there are some fascinating museums and art galleries on the island. Probably the star attraction is the Museo de la Naturaleza y el Hombre, a former hospital which now houses a fantastic collection of archaeological and natural science artefacts, including the Guanche mummies.
