Using timeshare for a city break.

Timeshare is often thought of as being a place to go with the family for a sunshine break by the sea and although this is often the case, there are also some very different breaks to be enjoyed. You can head off on a cruise, go sailing amongst idyllic islands or even enjoy canal barging or cottage holidays. One holiday that more and more people are enjoying is the chance to stay in the centre of a bustling city, a great base from which to explore the sights, sounds and nightlife that some of the most fascinating cities in the world can offer. The RCI resorts directory is a great place to start to see which great city you can visit if you are a member of their holiday exchange programme.

New York.
One of the most visited cities in the world, New York is familiar to everyone due to the sheer number of films and television programmes in which it features. Everyone knows the famous landmarks here, but it is something else entirely to visit them yourself. The RCI resorts directory has numerous places from which to choose, with short breaks being the most popular option. You can base yourself right in the heart of the city, head out and take in a show on Broadway, stroll around Central Park or shop until you drop in iconic shops such as Macy's or Bloomingdales.

Budapest.
This is a city with a great history and as with all such cities, there is some fantastic architecture and many places of interest. Split into two distinct halves, Buda and Pest, the city straddles the Danube and has been high on the list of must see places to visit for a number of years. There are currently two resorts affiliated to RCI, both of which provide easy access to the city's attractions. The transport system is good and the purchase of a Budapest card allows visitors to hop on and off buses, trams and the Metro as often as they like, for as long as the card lasts. Must see places include St. Matthias church in Pest, situated in the castle district, as well as St. Stephen's Basilica, in the heart of the Buda side of the city.

Paris.
A must see city for the romantic at heart, this is another city in which the tourist attractions are familiar due to their depiction in film. A shopping trip down the Champs Élyseés is a must, as is a trip up the Eiffel Tower, from which the views over the city are incredible. The city is also a magnet for art and history lovers and no trip to the city is complete without spending some time pursuing the great works of art at the Louvre.
