With Valentine’s Day almost upon us, many couples will be thinking about taking a romantic trip away. You may already be making the most of your timeshare this Valentine’s Day, or using an exchange company to swap for a romantic retreat, but if you’re looking for a last-minute getaway, help is at hand. TripAdvisor has recently released a list of the most romantic hotels in the world, based upon hundreds of guest reviews.

The most romantic hotel in the world

Top of the list for most romantic hotels in the world is the sumptuous, adults-only haven of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort in Aruba. This boutique-style, four Diamond resort on Eagles Beach is especially popular amongst honeymooners and those celebrating wedding anniversaries. With just over 100 rooms and suites, the resort boasts an intimate and friendly feel, where guests are thoroughly pampered.

Romantic England

When it comes to romance, it seems you don’t necessarily have to head overseas for Cupid to strike. According to TripAdvisor, the world’s second most romantic accommodation is in the UK. The Old Rectory Hotel, near to Exmoor in North Devon, is a stylish, boutique affair, and is no stranger to winning awards, having been voted the Best Small Hotel in England. Edgar House in Chester also features on the list, where attention to detail ensures that this property is a favourite amongst guests.

Love in Greece

Two properties in Greece made the top ten most romantic hotels, including the adults-only Lindos Blu in Rhodes and Anastasis Apartments in Imerovigli. As well as the attention to detail and first-class customer service, no doubt it was the award-winning views that earned these properties such high marks amongst romance-seeking reviewers.

Cupid strikes in the Maldives

The Maldives is starting to make a name for itself amongst the timeshare fraternity, and it’s not hard to see why. As one of the world’s most stunning paradise locations, it also ranks highly amongst honeymooners. Two of the properties in the top ten romantic hotel list are located in the Maldives, with the stunning Komandoo Maldives Island Resort ranking as fifth, and picture-perfect Baros Island at number eight in the list.

Drunk on love

Australia’s Hunter Valley is popular amongst tourists, and timeshare is also starting to blossom in the area. The proximity to some of the world’s best vineyards is an inevitable draw, whilst the breath-taking scenery is a considerable attraction. It’s little wonder, that TripAdvisor has ranked a property in Australia’s Hunter Valley in third place of its most romantic list.

The Spicers Vineyards Estate boasts superior facilities, including a wide range of spa packages and sumptuous wining and dining. Situated just two hours from Sydney, it makes for the ideal romantic retreat where you can also savour the many attractions of this world-famous metropolis.
