It is a well-known fact that selling time shares can be tricky. With sellers outnumbering buyers, trying to unleash your timeshare quickly can prove an added challenge. There are lots of things that you can do, however, to increase your chances of selling time shares swiftly.
Provide timely information
If you have managed to find someone interested in potentially buying your timeshare, the worst thing you can do is let them go simply by not providing a good service. One of the best ways you can do this is to make sure that you provide timely information to the prospective buyer. Make sure to reply to queries promptly, whether the would-be buyer sends an email or leaves a message on your answer phone. Try to answer all the questions or queries a buyer might have as thoroughly as possible, and if you do not know the answer, endeavour to find it out and get back to them as soon as possible. If you delay answering any queries, the buyer may well shift their focus on to another seller and property.
Accuracy is vital
No matter how desperate you are to sell your timeshare, make sure to always be honest and upfront with any prospective buyer. If you exaggerate any aspects, such as the size of the property, the facilities at the resort, or the views, the buyer will probably end up doing their own homework anyway, and may pull out of the deal further down the line, wasting your time and theirs. Additionally, make sure to provide accurate information about the annual maintenance costs, the type of timeshare such as fixed or floating week, or any other important information the buyer would need to know, as again, you risk losing the sale further along when the truth is revealed. Worse still, you may end up in a legal battle if the sale goes through and you did not provide accurate information about the timeshare.
Call in the experts
If your timeshare selling skills are not up to scratch, and let’s face it, if you have never sold timeshare before, why should they be? Then, consider using expert agents if you want to sell time shares fast. Experts will know what is involved, and will have lots of selling skills under their belt as well as timeshare knowledge, so they are more than equipped to deal with all of the aspects of the sale, including any legal implications. This can unburden you from the hassle of selling yourself, giving you peace of mind that the sale of your timeshare is in safe and reputable hands.
